Within Gethsemane the botanic garden (2)

Our Lord suffered on Earth for our sin and burden (2)

በጌቴ ሴማኒ በአታክልቱ ቦታ (2)

ለእኛ ሲል ጌታችን በዓለም ተንገላታ (2)

Due to the transgression made by Eve and Adam (2)

Sin had reigned over us, eternal death had come (2)

While carrying the Cross, He climbed up the mountain (2)

With a whip each of them took a turn to hit Him (2)

She could not cease her tears, His mother the Virgin (2)

While she saw her Son and the pain He was in (2)

Without passing judgment in His divine glory (2)

He said in His prayer, O Father have mercy (2)

With transcendent power, He created mankind (2)

Whipped by humanity, then buried once He died (2)

Born in the flesh of man, He expressed love for us (2)

Alpha and Omega is our Lord Jesus (2)
